With the applicant’s written permission, I am authorized to obtain information on the file and the status of a citizen’s application. If necessary, my team can contact a CRA agent directly to pass on important information.

  • How can I get information on the programs and tax credits I may be entitled to?

Step 1: For more information on the tax credits currently available to Canadians, visit the CRA website or contact the Tax Information Phone Service at 1-800-267-6999.

Step 2: If you cannot get the information you need, contact my office and my team can direct your information request to the CRA.

  • My Canada child tax benefit payments have been suspended. What can I do?

Step 1: Immediately contact an agent from the CRA division responsible for the Canada child tax benefit to discuss your situation, by calling 1-800-387-1194.

Step 2: If you are in a difficult situation that requires urgent attention or you would like help with this process, make an appointment with a member of my team.

  • What can I do if I make a payment agreement with the CRA that I can no longer honour?

Step 1: Immediately contact an agent from the appropriate CRA division to discuss your situation.
