François Choquette calls on government to Force Air Canada to comply with the Official Languages Act

François Choquette, MP for Drummond and Official Languages Critic, called on the government to take action to force Air Canada to comply with its obligations under the Official Languages Act.

François Choquette questioned the government about Air Canada and compliance with the Official Languages Act.

For 45 years, Air Canada has refused to acknowledge French as a language equal to English. Official Languages Commissioner Graham Fraser tabled a special report on the company, in which he describes Air Canada’s shortcomings and the numerous complaints received regarding the carrier.
